Hello everyone, I am looking for a DAC / AMP or some AV Receiver to use with the TV to watch movies, play the Playstation that does not exceed 300-400 dollars.

At the moment I have a Sony MDR-100A and possibly buy a Koss Porta PRO later, I have 6ohms columns.
Any recommendation is welcome, I am a bit lost.
I do not know if it is a good option for example a FiiO K5 PRO or what else could be better.

If your generally ok listening to audio in stereo (2.0), then maybe running optical from the TV and USB, from the Play Station, into a DAC/headphone amplifier, that comes with USB, optical (& coaxial) input.
A Schiit Fulla 4 comes with optical & USB inputs.
And the FiiO K5 Pro, but guessing you would not use the coaxial.

Thanks for your recommendation, I'll take a look at the Shiit, if I like stereo audio to play I think I like it better. But if I wanted a 5.1 or 7.1 what could you recommend?

Several our DACs (including some affordable options) work with latest consoles, so if you have PS5 that's something you might want to check out :)

Hi, thanks for answering me, do you have a list of which of your DAC / AMPs are compatible with PS4 / 5? Because it is not on your website and as I read the iFi Zen DAC v1 and v2 are compatible after a USB update.

Please go here: https://ifi-audio.com/download-hub/

...and select a DAC of your choice. Then after typing in a serial number accordingly to the hint (visible just under a product photos) you should see the list of all firmware versions for your device of choice. Most our DACs now are compatible with PS4 & PS5 platforms

Is it your main TV? or just a small TV you have in a bedroom setup or something? if you're looking for an amp for a large TV (anything above 32 inches) I would say get an AV Receiver. That way, if you decide to, you could buy speakers and have a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system. AV Receivers are workhorses, they come with a long list of functions and compatibility. My 2014 Pioneer has internet radio! it also has a "surround retriever" mode which extracts more detail out of an audio signal, virtual surround sound for headphones, you can also adjust the bass and treble response, the list of features goes on. You can get a decent AV receiver for well within your budget. I would take a look at the Sony's, Denon's and Pioneer receivers.

Thanks, I see my choice would be the Zen DAC v2.

It is for a 42 "main TV, the problem with the AV Receiver is that they are very expensive, above $ 500 and I don't want to spend that much.
So I think a good DAC / AMP can go well and spending $ 200 like the iFi Zen DAC v2 or something similar.

your choice is your choice, man. There are a few AV receivers for under $500 (U.S.D). On Amazon.Com you can find the Sony STRDH590, could be a good starting point for you.

Hello, both devices use two different technologies, the Lumen from what I understood uses the Co2 and does some calculations, giving a value.
The Vantage V2 does it based on the heart rate, in a certain area carbohydrates (glycogen) are consumed and in another lipids (adipose tissue), it makes some calculations and gives a value.
Are we discussing smart watches or headphones/dacs/amps? :relaxed:
