I'm looking for a DAC w/ USB input to pair with k701 and canamp. :) help

I have a pair of AKG K701's and a Heed Canamp. I'm wanting a dac 400$ or less that has USB input and RCA out as I have some vandenhul interconnects i want to use.

Suggestions?

For under $400, I would go with the Cambridge Audio DacMagic.

If you want to stretch your budget a bit to say $550-$600, I would recommend a used PS Audio DLIII.

The K702s sound great through the USB DAC in the X-CANV8P. The Firestone added dynamics which I prefer as the music I listen to has a lot of dynamics to it. The V-DAC has the MF house sound (and that in the V8P) so it will major in clarity and detail. That partners well with the K702s great strengths of clarity and detail. The bass will not go away, but it will support the rhythm as opposed to drive the music overall.

I believe you've heard PICO thats DAC only ?
