I have to say to start that i love my grado sr 60s that i just bought from this forum. They're up front and rockin' in every way that i like.
I'm also gonna have an ibasso boa soon to amp the rock music coming from my laptop. I want the rock of my grado's but i NEED the isolation of a closed headphone.
This is just more/less a feeler for a rockin'ass closed headphones. I listen mostly to punk rock, rock, prog rock, and whatever theyre calling rock music these days.

Get tha DT770Pro since your going to have an Amp to run some headphones. Im sure you will enjoy them and the pricing isnt so high you need to cut off a finger to pay for them.

whats your budget?

I got hfi780s cause i read that they are closed and grado-ish.
Ive gotta say they really rock. sweet bass, detailed, engaging mids, highs are a little bright (but I like it). Iso is pretty good, too, though not as much as an iem.

I havent really set a budget yet but i'd like to keep it around $200 or so..
Buds are not my thing but i havent tried IEMs enough to say the same. I say closed headphone because for me I can't imagine have something in my ear very comfortable.
