MSB Technologies iLink.

Yes! It's an $2,000 iPod for Audiophiles.

I have an iPod already modded by RedWine so I see no advantage of the iLink since I can use a dedicated laptop with iTunes as a music server for 1/2 the price e.g. MacBook 80 Gig. Both require an outboard DAC. I don't think the fan in the laptop is audible. Obviously the laptop needs to be close to the Hi End system (preamp, amp, speakers) and having the laptop in your lap while sitting in the sweet spot is less convenient than using the iLink with the RF transmitter.

So, is there an inexpensive wireless remote control device for the laptop to allow navigation of iTunes at a distance???? Macally Keypoint,*USB Wireless Presentation, Multimedia & iTunes Remote???

Does the use of the RF tramsmitter create dropouts or any degradation in sound quality?
