I had recently picked up a pair of damaged iGrado's here in the FS section "Cat chewed the cables".
In my first attempt to repair them I soldered in a KSC 75 cable and it worked well for about a week then I lost the left side.

In my attempt to repair them again I believe I fried the wire to the driver...

Well being my first DIY project I learned I need to be more patient and not get crazy with the gun..

" slap's forehead".
Anyhow I emailed Grado to ask for a replacement driver and got the response that I have to mail them the phones for repair.
My question is has anyone gone down this path and what type of cost will I be looking at?
Should I just buy a new set fresh and be done with it?
My problem is I had these for week and now that I really like them they are toast

Anyone know what kind of turnaround Grado has for repairs? Will they even fix these or just replace them like Shure does?
Sorry for all the ??'s just trying to decide if I should just pop for a new set and move on.
