iFi iRACK - don't wish your desktop system was hot like me...

Hi Guys,

If you are looking for the iRack in US, Vincent from Ifi directed me to Avatar Acoustics and ordered from them directly. Bonnie from Avatar Acoustics asked me to warn you guys how 'evil' she is and how she 'hates' audiophiles

Hi All,

micro iDSD Crowd-Design (latest update: 16th April)
See this poll:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/711217/idsd-micro-crowd-design-phase-2-desktop-vs-portable-listening-poll-open-to-everyone-5-ipurifiers-up-for-grabs

What % of your listening is Desktop vs Portable? (click on ONE answer)

This poll will close next Tuesday 22nd April.

Please click on ONE answer. (you do have to be a HF member).

We will put all the names into a hat and 5 names out of the hat will receive an iPurifier (from their local dealer). The iPurifier placed at the USB port of the DAC, audibly improves sonics by filtering out grunge on the audio+power lines.

More details here:
http://ifi-audio.com/en/iPurifier.html

Thank you for voting AND for noting your moniker in a post.

It seems the poll only shows the number of voters and not the actual voters.

Keep it up and we welcome your family and friends!

Chance of a free iPurifier? - heck yes!

Sexy sexy! But sorry Ifi, not as sexy as my headphone 'stands'. All of my friends agreed on that as well. Better luck next time Ifi. :D

Nice Headphone stands - we have to make do with the plain Jane "Sieveking Sound Omega" stands!

Good taste in HD-800s! What are the other headphones? We are always on the look out as we try all manner of headphones.

OK. now my minions are speechless when you called those omega stands 'plain jane'.  Made them second-guess their 'cuteness' lol.

minion dave is wearing a Shure 1540
other cans  either off camera or worn by my other camera-shy minions are:
B&W P7 and P5,
AKG K550,
Sennheiser 598,
Sennheiser Momentum on Ear
and some iems

all of my remaining headphones sans the HD800 are low impedance... soo.. attenuators: me want :D  Although at controlled volume levels, all of these cans sing with the ifi's!  Also Planning to get some planars soon. Any recommended cans from the Ifi team (planar or not)?

Can't wait to try out the iDSD micro or if budget permits, and if released by then, the mini's!

It is easy for any manufacturer to recommend expensive headphones as they should and usually are good.

At the other end of the scale, our R&D has messed around with the Fostex T50RP and did a full rebuild (including re-wiring to the drivers) and they sound really, really nice.

The beauty is the looks are virtually unchanged so they take people by surprise.

These are not for commercial sale as the wiring is a little special as it is from AMR's US$12,000 LS-77 Professional Monitors speakers. A little overkill!

Beside the wire, most of the mods are well-covered on Head-Fi.

If you have a chance, contact Avatar Acoustics in Atlanta. You should be able to work out when you get a chance to listen to the TL50RP on an iFi big rig or on your system - at a show or similar.
