I heard some news that ifi would be going the balanced way, so is there any talk of having any balanced outputs on this?

Actually, the expected power rating was not mentioned in this thread but elsewhere. Apologies! As far as BT, I can see from the pix that it has a pairing button but I can't see a BT on/off. But one can always switch the source device's BT off.

Maybe Bluetooth can be turned off, by holding the pairing Button. Maybe this is wishfull thinking. Anyway the device is promising.

The Pictures look like Ifi will use the same "3.5mm TRRS with Balanced compatible wiring Port" like on the Nano iDSD BL.
Yeah, that would make sense, as does the suggestion that BT may be switched on and off by keeping the button pressed.

It has s-balanced which is not balanced but is 'dual-mono with separate grounds' which, provided your headphones have the right kind of wiring, delivers most of the benefits of balanced for the short cable runs expected here.

Disappointed to see the Apple CCK DONGLE in that one photo. Would like to see portables be Apple-ready. Oh well.

This would be a nice to have, however having the cck input allows it to be a bit more source agnostic and avoids the 35 year wait getting apple approval. All in all I actually feel it's a better solution as you don't need a bespoke lightning to micro/USB C/etc cable.

BT is there for wireless connection, but there are regular alternatives; USB type A and coax/TOSLINK input as well.

I had no doubt, both work semlessly on my micro BL. Just wanted something smaller to carry around, was about to pull the trigger on a nano BL, then I saw this...

Two questions, actually: when, and how much?

Yes, but will you implement apossibility to turn off bluetooth to minimize interference? And finially, when can we expect the xDSD?
Of course the BT antenna can be turned on/off, this is a standard in every device with multiple inputs. This is not a BT speaker.
If not, it would constantly drain more battery with no purpose. Just my 2c.

Yup, xDSD surely is something to look forward to...
