If this true, why did not every USB 2.0 device break when USB 3.0 was implemented in MANY computers? I never had a problem with any USB 2.0 device.....
I was speaking about my AK Jr. dap whose DAC feature hardly works. AK even specified the DAC wouldn't work via USB 3.0 ports and should only be plugged into 2.0 ports. But they never specified why and I had no clue until iFi's post above.
Several of us in the Jr. thread went so far as to disable USB features in the BIOS (EHCI, XHCI, and even USB 3.0) attempting to get the DAC feature to work. Even after all that, it still barely worked on those machines yet it worked fine on multiple 2.0 only computers (with absolutely no USB 3.0 hardware).
