Switching to aptx was my first idea to try to mitigate the issue and it failed. There were fewer drops indeed but they still remained extremely random and were not related to the number of Bluetooth devices around.

Interesting, thanks for giving us your experience with that, appreciated!Switching to aptx was my first idea to try to mitigate the issue and it failed. There were fewer drops indeed but they still remained extremely random and were not related to the number of Bluetooth devices around.

Thanks for checking! Worth a shot to try and narrow things a bit.Changing Codec from LDAC didn't make any difference for me either.
I used mine last night for an hour or two from my BLU G91 Android with no drops or issues. The caveat is I have no SIM card in that phone and it's Wifi only in my home, just saying that for clarity.
Cheers!!

@gryffe
Just spitballing, but is it possible to test yours with music stored on your phone (no streaming involved) maybe even using airplane mode to see if the drops still occur? That would practically eliminate things if they do.
If I am way off base here just tell me lol, but trying to cover different thoughts for elimination purposes.
Cheers!!

Have had major issues with this product. Sound keeps on cutting out. Do a factory reset, delete the app do a full reset. May work for a time then goes again.
Intermittent cut outs, have even noticed when turning your head it cuts out or one ear piece cuts out.
Have already sent it back twice
Got a replacement does the same thing
Note tried with different devices and codes. Disabled the touch by clicking on it 4 times.
Have issues indoors and outdoors when streaming music nusic via WiFi or listening to music directly on the player.
This is not fit for purpose for me and not worth the money
With so many people reporting the Same issue have the tech team found an inherent problem
It's been months and months no firmware update etc
May just have to give up on them as a device that works when it wants to and costing £400 is not good enough. And having to do a factory reset constantly without fixing it long term is a hassle.
Note I have a shure wirless adapter and have no issues. Now just will use them unless a fix comes.

This is almost identical to my experience and my thoughts on the product. Only difference is I haven't had a replacement, I still have the original. It's going in for testing next week though.Have had major issues with this product. Sound keeps on cutting out. Do a factory reset, delete the app do a full reset. you posted that you tried different devices, would you mind telling us what you have used? That may also go along way to figuring out if there are any commonalities.
Thanks,
Cheers!!

Thank you for the response!Hi had issues with
1. Sony nw306 music player
2. Samsung ultra s24
3. Astell kern sp3000
Thanks
I am trying to look at things a little differently than tech would, and see if there are any commonalities. Even in sending it in for testing, I cannot fathom how the particulars of anyone who is having issues could be duplicated faithfully in the tech department.
As I have said maybe I am lucky but I feel for those that are having issues and looking for the common thread. Is it Android? and if so which version, is it Samsung? and if so which phones?
I have even used my Pods with my budget TempoTec V3 with no issue.
That is why I was interested in the possibility of folks who were having issues using their phones in "airplane" mode to rule out some other kind of "anything" interfering.
Even if I look solely at your list one common thing is android and the pods! I am searching and trying to help, so I am thankful for any help folks will give to narrow.
Cheers!!

Thanks for all you do here Bubba, including your thinking out the box suggestions. Next time I go for a walk I'll attempt the things you suggested in a post upstream, but as I have the flu that will now be after I get the Pods returned from testing.Thank you for the response!

If the hunch that yourself and many of us have that the Pods and Android phones are a toxic combination is correct, then that is a major development and not good news for many customers and IFI.

For those having issues with dropouts...
I've just completed a little over two hours of continuous playback with my Android phone using LDAC @990kbs (No SIM, Wifi only, Qobuz as source) No Drops or cuts.
This Phone is Android 11 and here is a screenshot of my developer settings, perhaps we can compare and see if anything differs.
Cheers!!
