iFi audio - EASTER ‘BUG BOUNTY’ HUNT.
Apr 3, 2018 at 5:30 PM Post #16 of 39
Good News/Bad News. The Good News is that I switched from Wi-FI to a Powerline Adapter and the nano iDSD BL is stable. The Bad News is that 192kHz MQA Tracks are truncated to 96kHz. I was receiving the correct sample rate on Wi-Fi (albeit with massive stuttering). I will close my existing Help Ticket and start another. Thank you.

Sure, please do.

SPDIF out is not available in v5.3 firmware. Confirmed by ifi. I’m hopeful that bug gets resolved soon...

Just updated my micro iDSD. Unfortunately my LED light only shows in green using Tidal, either Masters ou not. Same behavior using tidal over Roon...

If a LED is green on your device, it's highly likely it's software related. Have you disabled the 'passthrough' option in TIDAL?

S/PDIF was taken out due to resource limitations, it occupies one whole core of an 8-core CPU.

I.e. it's not coming back? Will you branch your firmware into one with MQA support and one that supports, well, all of the features of the device it's running on?
Can you make it so that S/PDIF is working as long as you're not feeding it MQA?

Firmware without MQA functionality has both DSD512 and S/PDIF enabled.

Right, but will you keep maintaining 5.2 as you add bugfixes and other improvements to 5.3?

We maintain everything that's useful for our customers. We are aware that some of them aren't and not going to be into MQA. We understand this and we're not going to neglect them.

You're welcome!
