If you were to choose 1 audiophile and live with it for the rest of your life, which would it be? I really mean 1, and you can't ever listen to any other headphones or think about upgrading or buying anything else.

Well I don't listen to audiophiles...though headphones, I'd have to side with a pair of Dt880s (so far, its the best pair of phones I've heard)

I can't find a single reason not to choose the DT990/600.  Not an exciting choice, but I simply enjoy all my music with them, and they're comfortable, the cable doesn't weigh a ton, pads are replaceable, and they leave me more money for beer.

For me, HD650 right now.  Its the most accurate phones I have right now.
