I know there was some comparison between the Z1R and Elear somewhere in the Z1R thread. They favored the Z1R obviously. I think the comfort won out and something about hollow mid range in the Elear. No idea how they compare but can definitely recommend the Sony. It's closed but has great soundstage and the comfort and build quality are top notch. The Elear is less expensive though and I know it has received a lot of good reviews.
