If I blasted 15 hertz at 150 dB would I be deaf?

or at those energy levels dead rather than deaf, seriously I reckon there is a reasonable chance you would die. Interested to know the result though.

- google infrasound - can also induce nausea at much lower power levels, also suspected of causing people to see ghosts and buy expensive cables.

Mythbusters also did a special on the use of sound to affect the body, but nothing happened to Adam :-) I think they went after the 'make the bass so loud you poo your pants'! myth.

A sound of this magnitude and frequency will perforate the ear drum and cause deafness (although temporary).

I couldn't say whether it woudl damage the hairs inside the inner ear.

It's really amazing that he isn't deaf yet. That video was 20,000w. His latest system has 30,000w. I don't think there is much music though as low as 15hz, that is very low sub-bass, not so much as heard as felt. It could probably cause some serious damage to your organs if it was loud enough.
