So I just got IE7's and while I like the sound (very detailed), it's hard to go to the IE7's after listening to the D2000's as they sound so distinctly different. Doing an A-B comparison isn't fair as my ears get so accustomed to the bass of the D2000's, the IE7's just feel supremely thin in comparison while the D2000's present me a full wall of sound. I'm starting to realize that I need powerful and deep bass on everything I own

Are there any IEM's out there that have a sound signature like the D2000's?

Deep powerful bass, warm mids and good treble (but not too bright). I've owned the X10's and liked them, but although they were amazingly comfy, the silicon tips made my ears itch. $200 or less preferably.

Would the Turbines fit the bill? I worry that they might sound like the Vibes I tried, where the bass was so strong it killed mids and treble.

Rather genres, I'll mention the artists/composers I enjoy; Coldplay, Akon, The Fray, Collective Soul, Blue October, UB40, Chris Botti, Wynton Marsalis, Dvorak, Chopin, etc...

Sound Signatures i've preferred from the phones below (in descending order); D2000, ESW9, DT770, X10, ES7, UM2

IE7 don't satisfy your need for deep bass?
IE8 it is then, nothing beat it in terms of IEM bass.

The IE8s are the closest to the D2000 sound that I've heard, but if your limit is $200 I would think something like the Monster Turbines or Atrio M5s would be within reason.

kind of rememberd I read ATH CK 100 having similarities of D2000, please dig up the old post. One of owners had a great review for Ck 100. one of them should be thoughnut, but he is not the only referring it to D2000.

BTW CK sholud have no deep bass you mentioned, but its ss should be alike

I have a D2000, M5 and the Shure's e500. You'd be surprised how similar to a D2000 and e500 is with proper eq'ing. The M5 on the other hand, no amount of playing around with it is able to get it's overwhelming bass down to a tolerable level for me.
