Hi,
I've been reading these forums for a while and have noticed a lot of stuff about impedence values. I have a 2009 160GB iPod Classic and up until a few days ago had been using Bowers and Wilkins C5's with it. The c5's broke a couple of days ago, and considering they're my 3rd pair in as many months, I'm not willing to try them again. Aside from them breaking, they worked great. I'm looking at stepping up to the Audio Technica IM01's, but i've noticed that the impedence value is quite a bit more than that of the c5's. I don't have an amp for my ipod and just plug the earphones directly into the headphone jack. Would this reduce the quality of sound coming from the IM01's? Or would they be okay to use?
I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff and am definitely not a massive audiophile by any means, but I do like the sound to be as clear and pure as possible.
Thanks!
