i LOVE my alessandro ms-1's and m50's, they are such energetic earphones.
looking for iem's which are similar to the sound signature of either of these earphones, i was a little disappointed with the re-zero's i had (plus the build quality was terrible, both of the ones i bought broke within a few months), they were a little too sterile and looked oomph.
looking at ultimate ears triple.fi 10, is this a wise decision? build quality is also of a high importance, as i tend not to be a little rough with the earphones from time to time...

I think the Brainwavz M2 would be an awesome choice for you.  They are built really well, sound amazing, and have a similar sound signature as the M50.  I prefer the M2 to many other IEMs because they sound so amazing and with Comply T-400 tips I have yet to hear something more fun.  I think you will love them as much as I have.  They typically run $60 on sale at amazon.

Here are the charts Tyll put up for the M50 and M2:

Thanks, but I'm willing to extend my budget a bit further... Brainwavz M2 does look like a great and exciting budget model.
Any better, more expensive options?

more expensive doesnt always mean better, otherwise Beats would be better than a lot of "budget models" right?

Exactly. Check out the Monoprice 8320. Some prefer it to the TF10. You may or may not, but for the price it doesn't hurt to try. And you get a dynamic driver, which gives you more of a music energy feel, in my opinion. It is fairly comparable to the sound of the EX600.
