So after finally getting fed up with walking around with my D1001Ks on my head, I've decided to pick up a pair of IEMs so I can stick them and my iPod in my pocket rather than trying to squeeze the iPod and portable cans in my backpack.

Budget is $150+shipping at most. I listen to pretty much only rock (any and all types), with a little electronic and hip-hop as well.

Any recommendations?

^That's what I'm about to try. I have the OP's taste somewhat, minus the hip hop.

I only learned about the J&R deal in the last hour. I want to give one more dynamic driver IEM a shot. I like what I read about the treble on this one.

Best thing that comes to mind is the Panasonic HJE900. They do well with all rock genres, and certainly do well with electronic and hip-hop. There's not a single genre that sounds "bad" with these to my ears. But its speed, good midrange, and great highs, and slight midbass hump make a great sound combination for rock to me. Not sure what you could get better for rock in that price range. Have you read Joker's thread? http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/m...1-10-a-453836/

EDIT: Lolz 2 people already mentioned it while I was typing XD.

Yeah, they're done. I was lucky enough to snag one. That said, if you can find them for a good price close to your price range, go for it.
