IEMs help you bypass store security?

Is this the same effect that happens when your phone recieves a call and you hear a buzz in your headphones?

I actually find that kinda handy for when I don't want it to ring, and I can sorta predict calls

So does this damage the headphone/IEM in any way? Probably it does in the long term, eh?

Doubt a weak magnetic field would screw up your IEM/headphones in any way. Everytime a pair of headphoens make sound, there is a magnetic field generated by the voice coils. That's why the diaphragm moves and why sound is produced.

Even if there was no ringing and you thought they were dud, you probably are better just stashing or your nick in a lead box.
