Hello,

Since there are so many oprions I cannot decide what IEMs to buy. I want to try something else than Sennheiser IE80S. I mostly listen to metal, rock. Sometimes blues and classical. Will use the IEMs with a DAP (Fiio X3 mark III) or SMSL SH8 amp.

What would you recommend? DM6 ? FH5? Massdrop plus? Kansas Pro?

The Kanas Pro is a good value, IMO.

I only have experience with the dm6 and fh5. Fh5 is mellow and more bass heavy. The dm6 will more than likely be super bright but that will work with the genres you mentioned. I've heard a few dm6 that were on the warm side so its always a hit or miss with the dm6. Ultimate ears ue900s and triple fi 10 can be had for $150-200 and they still sound like expensive iems even though they're somewhat dated now age wise.
