Anyone had this problem where the IEM would short a cable? I've gone through a number of replacement cables over the past few years and the problem has persistently been on the same side. I was using a clear cable this time and I noticed brown / black spots around the connector pin / cable. Seems like my cable got shorted... This explains why I've spent so much on cables...

Have you tried cleaning the connectors? It may just be oxidization.
