Campfire Audio Bonneville for bass. UM MEST/mentor are also pretty great despite your avoidance of "bone conduction." Oh, and the FiR XE6 or Rn6 of course.

I'm trying the Scarlet Mini's, and spent the extra $ leftover on PW Shielded. It made the most sense for my purposes

Scarlett's took forever, however with a Sagittarius from pw, and some external shielding added, they are fantastic

I own the Legend X, and for a bass-lover, they are hard to beat.
