New Head-Fier
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well. So my journey has begun with a Sony NW-A45 that I picked up for a bargain locally, and as this is my first DAP I am somewhat impressed that this sounds better than the audio from my iPhone. I have been through all the various file formats testing what I like the best for my ears, and I have now concluded that DSD and AIFF/WAV seem to offer the sort of quality required.
So I now have a budget of say £150 to spend on a pair of IEM's, which will help me get the most of the DAP, which I appreciate is far from top end audio standards, but a step up for me from the smartphone.
My requirements are:
Cheers,
Mark.

My requirements are:
- Nice open and balanced sound
- I am not a bass head, so not looking for boomy IEM's but rather a tighter bass response
- Clean and sparkly treble, but not fatiguing
- Mids that are clean and well presented
- A wide a soundstage as possible
- Comfortable to wear for a long period of time
- Detachable cables so potential or upgrades and replacements
- Easy to drive given the NW-A45 volume is a bit lacking
Cheers,
Mark.
