Hello all. My sister is going back to college, and is in need of some earphones.

She is often working in the studio, and would like some noise canceling (passive) earphones, and would also like one that she can wear while she runs.

So, do you guys have any reccomendations? (Preferably, Less than $100). She has an iPod video btw, and sound quality isn't that big of a deal, as long as it isn't terrible.

since that is the case, um1 or shure e3 might suit her well

If sound quality doesn't matter, you could pick up some EP630's or some Apple In-Ear buds. I'd be leaning towards the latter. It's more trendy, after all.

BTW, look at my post count >_>

For under $100 I can recommend 3 IEMs. The Creative Zen Aurvanas, the Jens D-jays of Sweden and Ultimate Ears Superfi.3 studio may be had for a lot under $100. I have read up a lot on each of these and would not hesitate to spend my own money on any of them. In the end though, my purchase was decided by availability (Aurvanas) and only because I was fortunate enough to spot one on a trip to Singapore!
