hi i would like recommendations for a headphone that is

1. vocal centric
2. balanced sound (not v shaped)
3. prefer closed back but willing to look at open back and iem
4. ideally if closed back no leakage and good isolation

any ideas (money should not be an issue but value is)

thanks

Check out something that is midcentric in tuning if u are a vocal lover.

I'm using the hisenior B5+, it is midcentric with subbass and higher treble roll off. It has above average technicalities, good isolation, but below average soundstage. 5 Knowles BA, about $80 USD.

It is good for vocals, but the tuning is not allrounded or suitable for other genres in view of the lack of bass and treble sparkle.

So midcentric IEMs are very niche in a way, so you need to know what u are going to get.

Moondrop Blessing 2
HD 600 (very sweet mids)
ZMF is known for having lush mids but I haven't been able to experience them yet. Look into the Eikons.
Focal Elegias (Closed Back)

HPs
- Sennheiser HD650/Drop HD6XX very midcentric, but open back (others can probably give you closed back Sennheiser recommendations)
- Audeze LCD-2 closed back
- Audeze LCD-XC (probably not as good for vocals as LCD-2 closed. It’s cooler, and more technical sounding.)

IEMs
- JVC FDX1/FD01
- Shure se846
- Tin HiFi T2 - the budget king. I think you should buy one regardless of what other item you get. Tuning is great for vocals, very smooth, good timbre, not that great with detail.
