This journey in looking for the best sounding IEMs to my ears has resulted in a small stockpile of earphones. I rotate them on a frequent basis and mix and optimise individual offering by pairing of cables and eartips.

Before continuing, do note it is strictly from my view point, and I appreciate pointers and comments.

I'm glad to announce the best combination for my UE super fi 3, and PL50.

1. SF3 with ES2 cables, using PL50 small silicon tips.
2. PL50 using shures black small silicon tips
3. IE8 using audio technica small silicon tips

(I have narrow ear canals)

To date I use the SF3 more than my livewires trips, IE8 and ER4p. Maybe it's a first love thing since they are my first true pair of IEMs.
Trips and IE8 are in 2nd place, Er4p are a recent acquisition. For Er4p, the triflange provides solid isolation, but quite uncomfortable. I am in search of the smaller triflange as advertised on their website.
