Hi,
I am looking for my first IEM and have the following criteria. Thanks in advance for help and suggestions!
I will be listening on an iphone, mostly to Mp4s and streaming Spotify/Pandora.
I listen mostly to classical, jazz, some pop, hip-hop, rock.
I don't want something too bass heavy as it sounds silly on classical music, but not something completely neutral and lacking any sound character.
I want to be able to listen on a windy NYC street without noise from wind passing over the ports.
I want great sound isolation as I will be listening on a noisy subway and busy nyc streets.
I want no microphonics on the cord.
I sent back the Klipsch S4 because I thought it was just a bit too bassy, wind noise and microphonics were bad and I found i couldn't get the cord to stay over my ear so had to wear them down. Fit was pretty comfy and sound isolation was pretty good.
I also sent back to Entymotics MC5 because it had mircophonics that bothered me and the sound was just too flat, and i had to turn the volume up pretty high to hear them on the subway, despite the great isolation.
I am thinking about the following IEMs.
Soundmagic PL50
MEElectronics A151
VSonic GR06
Rock-It Sounds R-30
thoughts, suggestions??
