Hi all! I need your help.
I recently bought a Cowon S9 and now I'm facing a difficult decision, what IEM's to buy!
I'm into Jazz, Pop, Rock and Classical. I'm not a bass head, but enjoy a little bass. I'm looking for a <100$ iem. What about Etymotic Research ER6i, Klipsch IMAGE S4, Altec Lansing UHP336 and RE0? Other recommendations?

Thanks!

Telling us where you live would also be helpful.
One more thing, you tell us you are looking for an IEM of more than $100, but you provide examples that cost less. Or did you mix the > (greater than) and < (smaller than) up?
I guess it's the latter and in that case, I think a lot of people will also recommend you the Head-Direct RE0. I haven't heard those myself yet, but I have a pair coming my way.

If you want fairly boomy bass and sizzling highs, get the Klipsch S4 for $80.

If you want something beautifully balanced and detailed, with smooth treble extension, get the Head-Direct RE0, also $80. Let it play for about 3-4 days solid (connected to a computer with WMP or similar) before using it and the bass will loosen up a good bit. It's not bass heavy -- but very balanced.

Er6i is pretty bass-light. UHP336 are flawed on several levels and don't sound all that great. RE0 and S4 are both good choices.

Sorry, I did mix > and <.I'm looking for something below 100. I live in Portugal (Europe).
So RE0 or S4, right? Given that S9 is a bit to the cold side (compared to Sony X), what would you suggest?

At 100 or less, RE0. And avoid the UHP336 like you would the plague. They are so bad. Between the lack of detail, dark boomy bass that sounds like an ogre snoring in a huge cave, and the horrid fit, they are just a waste of time, money, and space.

Head Direct is somehow committed to using the USPS, despite the fact that their tracking really, really sucks. Give it a week before you really panic.

Wow, 15 step from radiohead sounds amazing. And such a nice bass! I wonder how will it sound after some burn-in!!!
