the main ones i have are the re2, etymotic er6i, shure e2c, sennheiser cx500

my gripe is they are lined with felt and all the black lint gets stuck the the ear pieces ...

The shures where not to bad but i got paranoid about breaking the cable when winding around that plastic thing, so i removed the plastic thing and got lint on the tips ...

sennheisers have the best case here and the only one i use although i dont like the headphones .... Easy to open adn close and most importantly NOT lined with felt.

rant over

does anyone else use these cases ?

I wear glasses so I have a bunch of eye glass cases, and they work really well. Hard shell case, spring loaded closure, large enough to fit a pair of iems plus extra ear tips, but slim enough to fit in my jacket pocket.

Now THAT is a fantastic idea. I'm going to use this idea for my IE-40's. Thanks for the tip.
