No. The X10 comfort is excellent, sound is very good (but not as good as the PFE). For $200, you're better off getting the PFEs and a relatively inexpensive amp. Even the FiiO E5 works well with the PFEs, and it's only $20. Amps really start to improve when you get into the $200+ price range. Under that, I am not sure they are so different. I found the E5 played better with the PFEs than the NuForce Icon Mobile, for example, and the latter cost $99.
