First time i'm hearing about fakes. You might inquire about the lack of packaging. Perhaps it was a display model, return, or refurb.

But if it's from a reputable seller, with a return policy, then i don't see it as much of a risk. Though you might have trouble getting sennheiser support without a serial number.

Heres the link:
*ì¸Ë´Ë®ü¶ëº¸SennheiserºXÄ¥°Ê°éIE8¤J¦ÕYahoo! ©ç½æ

Basically it's claiming a 10 times the value back guaranteed if it's fakes and 7 day return guarantee if unsatisfied with the product. If the earphone fails to work within 30 days they would do a brand new replacement as well.

I don't think it's samples, they got bulk buying.

He's claiming that they are legit imported goods with no box or accessories.

Importantly, is there any way u can 100% sure get your money back a la paypal? Sure they say they can refund you the money but I'd be careful with that. They may not.

HK yahoo doesnt do paypal, payment's done by local bank transfers or face to face trade. So the only way to get a refund if it turns out to be fake is to report to local authorities or the HK consumer's council

The IE 8 isn't serialized.

Also be careful as sometimes these so called sellers will use a photo of a legit or original product, but when you come to receive your parcel they will have fakes in there and its bye bye to your money.

If you can, meet up with him and try it out before buying it, that way you'll be able to tell if they're fake or not.

And get to hear a real one before that would definitely help (maybe from local audio store or some friends etc.)
