searched and searched... Doesnt seem to be a comparison is there?

I was wondering for around the same price, which pair to get if i listen mostly to rock, hiphop, r&b

I would like which one has a muddier sound, and comfort is very important to me (gonna be walking alot with these)..

Any comments?

I'd say the exact opposite. I don't think that Sennheiser do ergonomics and comfort any where near as well as Westone. The UM2 (along with the UM3x which shares the same casing) is the most comfortable universal IEM I've ever come across.

I really like the Sennheiser sound signature, but I also loved the UM2 when I had a pair and I don't think the IE7s are any better.

I would describe the UM2 as "smooth" and "warm" but I have also heard them described as "muddy" ... sounds to me like an exact match for your requirements.

IE7, not only do i believe them to just be better than the UM2 but they are vastly better suited to the music types you mentioned

id say probably jazz, so long as a strong bass line isnt wanted. the um2 is vocal focused and i feel lacks in both highs and lows. the IE7 will keep up with the bass in the music types you mention while still giving out beautiful mids.

I have to agree with zarim here. the ie7 are comfortable, if you don't push them in too far (which is not required anyways)
