Am wondering if anyone has any good ideas to share re: replacemant of ailing cable on my Beyer dt990.

Right channel starting to go - a break right in the area of the strain relief. Figure I'll go w/ a new 1/4 inch plug as well.

Any ideas or experience on good replacement wire/cable and plugs would be appreciated. This type of thing should not be manufacturer-specific.

BTW, can anyone tell me how to determine pro or non-pro dt990? Mine are 600 Ohms.

Hope this helps. Such a cable replacement is usually worth doing even if the stock cable is not bad, because it usually gives better sound.
