ideal IEM for mixing/mastering music?

Does anybody have any suggestions around the 100-200 price range?

I just need something to reference to that will do OKAY in place of monitors (i dont want to spend 200 each for monitors)..

I hate to recommend the same IEM's on every thread I reply to at the moment but Etymotics. ER6i's will fit your budget and I know plenty of producers and sessions artists who use them in the studio. If you can justify it go for some custom moulds as well.

Actually a guy tried this stuff and said it did a really good job. It was like a hard silicon and the pics have it doing pretty well.
The ety 4's get my vote 100% They are prolly the most neutral of the top detail IEM's.

The shure 420's were not bad at all when I tried them.

You don't mix or master on headphones especially not in ear headphones. As a reference tool they're very useful, but take it from me, or anyone over at macrumors.com's digital audio forum that it's not the way to go. That is unless of course you're mixing just for people using phones.
