I ordered my icon mobile and i was just thinking, which is the best way to connect my iphone to the amp, via the dock connector or the line out? Either one sound better or have an upside over the other?

The Dock to 3.5mm is called 'LOD' - Line-Out Dock. There are a few different ones, and Nuforce is also bringing out their version.

The LOD bypasses iPod/iPhone's volume control, hence it's supposed to sound better. However, with iPhone and iTouch, the LOD is a bit tricky, not all iPod compatible LODs can work with iPhone and iTouch.

I ordered a Quables LOD that was specifically for the iPhone/Touch to go along with the Nuforce Icon mobile I ordered

I'm quite curious to see what the difference in quality is. Everything I've read on head-fi says there is a difference - the question is how much?
