It worked in the headroom room at CanJam. It will never work if all the gear is in one room, but because CanJam had so many rooms it meant people probably didn't mind having to be silent in one room of the entire show.

I'd love to have a pretty big LA meet again. It would just need to be planned months in advance to really get the attendee list to grow.

As Phil can attest, arranging a large meet while minimizing cost is not easy. I think a mini K1000 meet would still be fun and should be a lot simpler to arrange.

I've owned and sold three K1000's but have none left currently.
The itch to buy another is coming back, but I do need to buy a dang Stax OII, it turns out

Jon, you should worry about getting the Stax OII first. That was something else on your current rig as is. A sure fire blissful listening experience.

Then maybe you can concentrate your energy on a K1000 setup but at that point, I would be asking myself what the real need is to have so many headphone setups

On a side note...any current K1000 owners in the Los Angeles area, gracious enough to let me audition a set of k1000's? I'd like to hear what the fuss over these headphones are all about. I have a spare RWA 30.2 amp that I want to bring to the audition. Please PM me if you're interested! Even more so, if you're in the LA area and you want to sell your headphones.
