iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

I don't now the F9 Pro; but I do like the IT01. I would describe them as "fun" in the sense that the bass is full. I don't see the bass as bloated, but its there and there are time when I want that.

Some people call these v shaped; I don't see it that way. More like a lazy L. with up part being in the bass region.

I found them on Amazon.

I don't think the burn-in was as pronounced as the vendor has suggested. They sounded pretty good to me right away. With any IEM, bass tends to improve a bit once the drivers get some use but its not like a night and day effect. As one wag noted; giving an IEM a 100 hour burn in period certainly reduces returns as customers may not hit 100 hours until the return window closes. But I knew these were keepers almost right away. Now my biggest problem is that I am eyeing their older sibling, the IT04. First world issues I know.

IT04 is quite an excellent IEM as well :)

But to be honest, IT01 isn't quite that V-shaped, in the sense that the treble isn't quite the most enhanced one out there, but it isn't smooth either, it is a rather treble-happy IEM compared to say, something smooth, like a Westone Wx or something similar, which really has a smooth treble, IT01 by comparison has a good amount of sparkle. Comparing them to IE800, IE800 clearly has quite a bit more bite in the treble, but then again, IE800 is one of the most U-shaped IEMs there are :)

looking for a new pair of iems and wondering if anyone has tried these IT01s versus Blue Ever Blue 1200EX?

reviews on the 1200EX seem quite good, and I'm curious about them. i've had a go with the IT01s, and they definitely offer some seriously good and fun sound for a ~$100 pair of IEMs. solid value there, but i did find that over extended periods of listening, the bass got to be a bit too much for me, and they're admittedly not the most comfortable pair for me. 1200EX reviews suggest it could be a good alternative, though with some isolation issues requiring volume-cranking?

Quite enjoyed brainwavz b400 too, and they were really pleasant to listen too, though the roll off on the lower and higher ends made fun songs a touch less "fun", which was a bit of a shame. solid mids and performance on tracks where vocals are the main highlight

I mean, I would compare IT01 with FiiO F9 or F9Pro, but Blue Ever Blue is something I really haven't heard about before (?)

Might not be at the same level as IT01

I've been really trying to love these, but I can only say that these are absolutely amazing for music only but nothing else. I watch alot of YouTube and anime and just feel disconnected to everything I play. By disconnected I mean the voices feel far back somewhere, I want it to feel more close to me, im not sure if it's because of the wide soundstage of if it's to do with the mids of these? So unfortunately I might have to consider giving these back and look for something else. It's a shame really as these technically sound monstrous.

I don't watch anime but I'd be interested if you can link a couple of examples that I may have a listen and see what the voices sound like. Which iems do you own that actually give the voices more presence for you?

Tbh every other iem ive owned does a better job of making the voices more closer to me. I'm not sure if it's because these are vshaped or because these are alot more wider in soundstage. They sound really musical, with more presence and priority towards instruments. There's currently alot of hype going around for the toneking ninetails, it seems really good for what I want but tbh I'd rather keep these if there was a way to fix vocals. I don't want risk burning these for 200 hours to see if things improve, because I only have another 2 weeks before I can return them. Even though these are much better sounding then anything else I've ever tried, their currently not suiting my sound preference which is why I should of just kept the fh1.

Then you should keep the fh1. As everyone say: Trust your ears only cause at the end of the day, it's all that matters.

I see what you mean and I've no doubt your other iems do a better job, but it seems to me that the level of the recorded voices haven't been brought up enough in post mix and are also a little drowned out by the music. I just randomly pulled up some other cartoons like Flintstones, Family Guy and Simpsons and the voices are very close and present, probably much more how you want the anime to sound.

How does this sound to you?

Yeah, this sounds ok because there's not much music in the background, which results in less drowning. Sadly, I'd still have to let these go now because it's really not an iem tailored for this stuff. On the plus side, I'm learning with every purchase, it gives me a great idea now for what I'm really looking for.

Also, when I done my tests with other iems, I used those 2 links I sent you as my testing samples. The it01 really drowns the voices compared to the others. In conclusion, ive figured, that when buying your first main earphone, the most important thing is to choose your preferred sound signature first before the actual sound quality or technicalities. A very stupid mistake I made

What tips are you using? I don't get loss of voice when using these. I am using the wide bore medium but everyone is different though I think the wide bore tend to be the best.

I am also using the wide bore medium, but from the ostrys silicone sticky ones. I don't get loss of voice but the instruments dominate too much.
