Hello,
I open a new thread as I don't want to interfere with older discussions - and some DX90 discussions are rich enough. I did not find any information about this firmware on this forum. I may have made a bad research and, if so, please tell me, so I close this thread.

The DX50 version of this firmware have been discussed in many threads: http://www.head-fi.org/t/679473/the-ibasso-dx50-thread-latest-firmware-1-5-0/13320#post_10584354

So, here is a link to iBasso DX90 - Doc2008 firmware - based on official v.2.1.5 : https://yadi.sk/d/eYrBl0XMcVFeb

It's been discussed on a Russian forum but I couldn't find the original post - if you can, give the link please.

If you prefer v.2.1.0 firmware you will hate this one: it's a much more cool/warm sound. In my opinion, it's less 3D than the official firmware and I prefer it to the official. You can test it if you like warm sound.

WARNING: please read what Lurker00 has to say about this firmware before testing - http://www.head-fi.org/t/742273/ibasso-dx90-doc2008-firmware#post_11045754

Please note, that DOC2008 does not like to describe changes he make, though the changes are not always safe.

In this build he used a service taken from old firmware of other iBasso devices, which is not compatible with DX90. Luckily, it looks like it just fails to start. But DOC2008 believes that it starts and does something good for the sound.

I tried to explain him the details and asked to resign this build, but he didn't.

Another change he made is that he replaced a library that decodes some audio formats with another one, of an older version, from an unknown source. It's up to you to find out whether it causes problems or not.

DOC2008 does not have DX90 and, as such, can't even test himself.

Thanks a lot for your precious advice, Lurker00. It's the kind of comment I wished to read when opening this thread. For the moment, I like the sound but I suppose I will go back to your firmware :-)
As you said, there is not enough information about it to be 100% confident.

I don't understand your post. The DX90 does not need any new firmware for the moment and there is no information about iBasso stopping any development. Where did you "heard" this ? It sounds like a trollish post.
Last firmware can be found on official site: http://www.ibasso.com/download.php - there is a readme.txt to explain how to install it. You can grab more information here: http://www.ibasso.com/products-detail.php?id=182
