Ok, thanks for the explanation !
I suppose there no easy way to access the internal flash ?
Is there something I can do, from a linux term, to access it (read-only is fine) ? Like adb or similar

ADB would be the way, but it is disabled in ready to go firmware builds. You can build a firmware with adb enabled - that's what I do for my experiments, and iBasso does for development. Also, it is possible to build a firmware which would copy the db-file to a microSD at boot time... No a way w/o building a custom firmware.

my DX 100 with me again, don't know why but I like it better than Dx80 probably figure 80 and 100 counts.

The DX100 is exceptional and has the Sabre desktop 9018 chip. IMO, the DX100 is still one of the very top caps. Very transparent and dynamic. You would have to go to the DX200 to do better but the DX100 is still very enjoyable and a quality sound.

I Love my DX80, though I am looking seriously at the DX200. For the way I use it, it's mostly bug free.  I don't use playlists, I play by album and navigate by artist or genre.  and I play only FLAC (including lots of Hi-Rez) and DSD files. I do have a problem with the Genre list showing odd duplicate genre names.  I use the latest firmware.  I use DITA The Answer IEM phones, and it amps them great.

BTW, I'm always looking for new sources of Hi-Rez and DSD files :)

I have both and absolutely love the DX200.

IMO DX200 is too big, too heavy and too expensive. And for local music hearing (no streaming) 80 is more than enough. I stay with DX80.

Lift up the Sony WM1Z and the DX200 feels like a featherweight by comparison. About the same size also.
