The X5iii can't compete with the big dogs like the DX200 and X7ii in terms of sound. They are simply in another league.

Quite a lot of DX200 and X7ii reviews have compared them with each other. Generally speaking the DX200 is fuller and smoother while the X7ii is cleaner sounding.

Good deal, looks like I'll order the DX200 and hope for the best.

Of all the DAPs I've tried, the DX90 and N5ii have the strongest bass response.

Maybe you can demo it and see if it suits your taste. These two DAPs have a very strong sub bass presence.

Unfortunately nobody in my neck of the woods stocks these devices. Have you compared the DX200 with the hiby r6? It's also on my list.

Good to know I'm in the right place, then. They should have a tutorial for those new to Android. Also, has anyone that ordered the DX150 received their shipping notice? I did and DHL kicks back an error when I submit it.

Huh??

The DX200 is a flagship high end DAP. The HiBy is not in the same league.

Ok, just because it's "flagship" and expensive doesn't make it good, I'm looking at getting as much feedback as possible. Yes, I'm aware of the price of both....

Would you care to elaborate? How you compare the sound signature of both?

I have both,

DX200 has a tad more detail and definition than R6, and a bit more driving power, a bit more vividness with AMP5, waiting for DX150 to compare it to R6.

Tho, you really need to weight the imprtance of those factors, the difference isn't as large as it is between a lower end DAP and R6, where R6 or DX200 feels very distinctly superior, they are not as far apart :)

DX150 and R6 seem to also be different in tuning, but again, I would exect the differences to be smaller than if comparing a more entry-level DAP and R6 or an entry-level DAP and DX200.

For the record, DX200, to my ears, is in top 3 DAPs I heard to date in both sound, construction quality and overall device :)

I'm curious what the other 2 of the top 3 DAPs are. Mind sharing?

Usually, and I can't really say which is in exact place since I am not that kind of person, DX200, X7mkii, and Opus #2 are among the best things I've heard as far as DAPs go. I tried some higher end stuff as well, like Hugo, and many other things, but those DAPs make listening to a DAP feel really really nice, along the lines of being so good that I use the DAP rather than a DAC/AMP because of convenience

When I reviewed each of those high-end DAPs, I tried to offer an in-depth comparison between them and tell which does what and which does what best, there are inherent differences that one might like about each DAP, some of which can be as simple as the design, at this point it really boils down to preferences.

DX200 is super potent, and surely is in top 3 DAPs I heard to date, and that list includes other flagships, those 3 just feel really good to me. Sonic Wise, DX200 + AMP5 is really amazing, the technical abilities are as impressive as they can be :)

Awesome! This is what I'm looking for. Thank You! I would very much like your opinion with the DX150, giving it has an updated amp section (AMP6) and uses dual AK4490 DAC's, In my opinion the few AK DAC's I've heard in the past I've preferred over the ESS (sabre) but DAC's alone don't make up the the entire sound signature, I almost pulled the trigger on the 150 just by specs alone, but I'd love to read some reviews and comparisons first. Cheers!

Paul - now that the device is available to the public... when should we expect to start seeing some official reviews? I assume the review units are in the hands of reviewers now
