I agree with both of you, DX200 is never flat, and it is always quite dynamic and vivid, a real love to listen to

The DX80s were quite bad in comparison to the other DAPs Ibasso has released. The DX150 is likely going to be quite a big upgrade seeing as some have said it sounds like the DX200.Hello, I've been using iBasso DX80 for about 2 years now and wanted to upgrade. So people who have owned DX80 before and heard the DX150, how big of an upgrade is it over the DX80? Are the differences noticeable or there isn't a night and day difference? I have been waiting for iBasso to release something after DX80 and this is finally here.
Would it be recommended to switch over to 2.5mm balanced mmcx cables for my IEMs to get the best possible SQ upgrade since DX80 only has 3.5mm single output?
Any advice would be extremely helpful! Thanks!
Same situation here. I wonder if I should "upgrade" my DX80 to DX150 or shoot directly to DX200/Hiby R6/Sony WM1AHello, I've been using iBasso DX80 for about 2 years now and wanted to upgrade. Go DX200 and be satisfied for a LONG while. Go DX150 and you'll always be itching for an upgrade to the DX200.Same situation here. I wonder if I should "upgrade" my DX80 to DX150 or shoot directly to DX200/Hiby R6/Sony WM1A

I'll just wait for reviews and comparisons of the DX150. I'm kinda hesitant spending too much on a DAP since I will be mostly using it during my long commutes. At home I have a full rig with headphones which I prefer.Go DX200 and be satisfied for a LONG while. Go DX150 and you'll always be itching for an upgrade to the DX200.
I don't use balanced so I can't comment. So would you recommend the iBasso DX150 for sure if I'm looking for a good amount of sound upgrade? Thoughts on going balanced output for my IEMs?
Thanks!
Ah I see, good luck choosing thenI'll just wait for reviews and comparisons of the DX150. I'm kinda hesitant spending too much on a DAP since I will be mostly using it during my long commutes. At home I have a full rig with headphones which I prefer.
So if the DX150 is a mid range between the DX80 and the DX200 and the DX150 is exponentially better than the DX80, that means the DX200 is also exponentially better than the DX150?Ok for the The DX 80 users, I am still one of them. However my main DAP of choice is the DX 200. The DX 150 is a mid range between the 80 and the 200. The sound quality of the 150 is, to my ears, exponentially better in every way.
