Please try Android 8.1 on the 150 if you haven't already. It really changes it. I was listening more to the DX200 as I found the DX150 a little boring but this changes everything.

The instructions to install his mod is within the mod files.
Hiya,
I tried following the steps, not sure if i missed a step or not, but the problem I have is
my DX150 is black screen and I cant get it to boot at all. Is there some key presses
that will allow me to get it to boot perhaps into recovery or is their a way to get an image on it
to recover ?..

If your device just shows black screen and it seems it does not turn on, probably, it is on in bootloader mode. To be sure that it is turned off: press and hold Power button for 15 seconds.
When it is turned off, put it on charger, to see "Charging" on the display.
To boot to recovery: when it is turned off, press and hold Play button, then turn power on by Power button, and continue holding Play until you see the recovery menu.

In a perfect load world, maybe but different loads affect the sound as does the make-up of the amp. There are capacitance, inductance and resistance and they all have an effect on the amp so matching what works best in this "imperfect" load world is what it is all about.
Perfectly said! Thanks James

I have just updated to Oreo everything is working O.K. but the screen looks sort of washed out with a pale blue hue. If I go in to Mango everything looks normal. Anyone else noticed this and is there a fix or setting somewhere.. Screen brightness is just over 50% blacks are pale blue. Screen was OK on previous firmware.
Thanks

For those who can't use AndroidTool to upgrade to Android 8.1 based firmware: DX150 Firmware Updater is ready! It is a bootable SD-card which can be prepared under any OS.

For those who want to revert back to Android 6.1, I've prepared 2.11.293-L0 full firmware image suitable for this purpose. It is compatible with bootable SD-card, and also with RockChip FactoryTool and AndroidTool.

I would do a reinstall and a factory reset or do a factory reset first and see if that cures the problem.

New member on this party. Amp6 sounds a little weak to me, any recommendations to drive my HD600’s?

washed out screen in android. but Mango is good.
Under Oreo on DX150, Mango is Android. Do you mean, you don't like the default wallpaper in the launcher?

It does not matter which wallpaper I choose the I would say their is a poor contrast issue with anything that should be black having a cyan colour cast and no real black level. I can liken this to a TV if you turned the brightness up and contrast down and the rgb values are set incorrectly. If I launch the mango player the black level becomes much deeper with good contrast and the cyan hue is gone. Come out of Mango player back to the home screen and the colour/contrast issue is back. It is very noticeable and was not like this with the previous firmware.

If I have a few minutes later today I will reload the previous firmware.

Thanks

Here it is: my add-on v1.14 for DX150 Android 8.1. Same functionality as 1.13 for DX200. Please read and follow included readme.txt!

Note: If you experience several seconds of silence when you start playing music in 3rd party apps, try:
  • Launch USB Audio application.
  • Turn on "Enable USB Audio" option in its System settings, and allow it to reboot.
This will replace some sound-related system libraries with my versions, which also have a workaround against this problem.
