knowwhatimean, BlackbeardBen, Mischa23v & Jalo, I copied all your posts to here for posterity - http://www.head-fi.org/t/561552/hypersonic-effect-discussion/75#post_8056865

You can continue the discussion there. :)

BlackbeardBen I don't think it's true we can (currently) measure all sensory input beyond human sensitivity, whenever I ask how to measure soundstage in a headphone (mono signal), or why FR graphs are so important if I can equalize a Skullcandy to look like a Stax (on paper), my questions are usually playfully danced around. :)

Sure, I think it's good to have healthy skeptics around that say radioshack cables are sublime, but they usually dismiss theories to quickly, instead of dissecting them.  For example, there is some evidence that infrasonic frequencies can make people believe in ghosts.

Read on Mobile01 and erji.net that someone received the following info from Jaben management:

1. DX100 is completed and now in production.

2. There are limited units and rumored that first batch of 500 units had already shipped to Japan.

3. Estimated availability date should be after Chinese New Year. Actual date TBC.

4. The music player on Android is written by iBasso and the system (?) is separated from Android OS

5. The screen is >= 4 inches (so probably just imagine a much thicker SGS II or Droid RAZR?)

6. Estimated price is around 4K RMB+ (around 700+ USD). Actual price TBC.

7. Jaben tester tested the music quality but not the battery life

8. The product was scheduled for Christmas but delayed as iBasso was strict about the system quality and lately, there were revisions on the software.

It is a great news that it support apple lossless , certainly hope that it could connect with MAC OS to sun or transfer the iTunes library over. it gonna make lots of people happy and getting people converting from iPod to DX100.

very keen to see the detail specification . especially power output portion . understand that iPod output is 1V. so if it is higher (much higher I hope) . it could drive the higher impedances headphone well.

if this is the case. it is going to ligthen many portable rig weight on the go ( for those who uses a portable Amp and DAC ) ...and compete directly with HM801 .

lastly , hopefully , the quality concerns and software bug are all clear out for the production release..
I might just hangout a little to get their review and user experiences before getting one.

a lot of anticipation on this .

The Hifiman RE252 has silver voice coil wires, the Beyer DT48 has an aluminium driver, there are Sony's with diamond and sapphire diaphragms, the technology to make a pure-metal IEM or headphone is certainly there.

If you only change your cables to silver, nothing will happen.  Ideally, you should dip your ears in liquid silver too, and coat your canals with diamond dust from Jupiter.

Make sure your music is 32bit/384kHz native in 2-channel, Kernel Streaming via crystal coax directly to the DAC installed in your neck, connected directly to your custom IEM with 7N OCC platinum cables under your skin.

The DAC chip itself must be soldered with 7N OCC platinum, as well as the connections on the silicon board (more crystal).

If you use a copper neutrik jack, you just threw a towel over the screen of your new 64" plasma and you won't hear any of this.

lol....very funny dude
