Just to bring up some related issues to pass the time. I started looking into buying some 24/192 materials. Do you guys know about how many songs 64g will hold as compare to the 16/44.1 stuffs if they are the same length?

Its not the length of the songs as much as the actual size of these 24/96-192 files. They are humongous in comparison. For example Adele's 21 album in 16/44 FLAC is 297 MB while compared to the hefty size of 977 MBs for the same album in 24/96 FLAC. Her rolling in the deep song in FLAC is 25.9 MB compared to the 24/96 version which is 81.8 MBS. So don't expect to fit much of these higher resolutions files at all even on 64 GBs. You'll have a bit to carry around but not nearly as much as you would with 16/44.

I have Louise Rogers' album "Black Coffee" in 24/192 from HDtracks and I've downsampled it to 24/96 as well as 16/44.1 for use on my Cowon X7. The sizes for the same track (Comes Love) in those 3 formats are:

24/192: 192.29Mb
24/96: 85.06Mb
16/44.1: 17.61Mb

From where are you intending to get your "HD Tracks"?

Thanks guys, but wow, that is 10X the size from 16/44 to 24/192. I've just e-mailed Ibasso to enquire whether the DX100 could recognise 64g microSD. I hope it will as I intend to acquire more 24/192 materials. The process of getting the best sound is just pure fun.

I assure you 100% once you formatted your 64GB to Fat32, android will be able to recognize it, my old T51 as for the 601 were able to mount it normally.

So far I have looked into HDTracks. Any other great site that you know? Unfortunately they don't have Cat Steven's Morning Has Broken in 24/192. I just love that piano piece.

Thanks for the tips. That gives me hope. But I think the 64g micro SD is like $200.00~. But that will turn the DX100 into a 128g monster :o.

Just have patience and wait for the prices to come down dramatically. It will take some time but you can get 32GB cards for quite cheaper and that is still a lot of room to work with. Plus you can just buy multiple 32GB cards until then.

There are lots of places you can get HD tracks depending on if you want to pay or get them for free. Hdtracks.com is one of my favorites.

I've already finished organizing my Vinyl & HR into 4 folders (1 64GB and 2 32GB folders) and I’m all set to upload them to DX100.

Most of these are 192khz/24bit and some are 96khz/24bit
Adele 21, Michael Jackson full collection, Grease movie sound track, Disney songs, Shania twain, Lady GAGA, Red hot chili peppers (most of their albums), Coldplay (most of their albums), The Beatles (all their albums), Al Stewert year of cat, bob Marley (everything), Metallica (all their cds), Santana (all their CDs), System of a Down (a lot of their stuff), Eric Clapton (all his songs), Eagles (hotel California and acoustic version) Tool (all their cds), Ottmar Liebert up close, and some classical music.

Around 208 acoustic flac songs at 44.1Khz/16bit.

308 songs as flac and MP3 with bitrate of 320 and few with bitrate of 256+..

Are the higher quality formats really worth that much extra storage? How much of an audible sonic difference are we talking here?
