lol but she takes forever to fully charge. I'd say at least 12 to 14 hours to fully charge from a complete drain. But that's not so hard to digest when you are sleeping and have it mostly charged by that time . I also need to get into the habit of charging this thing at work and save electricity...

but lets be practical , am happy with 12+ battery life and <4 hours charge time .

How about 4 hours battery life and ~12 hours charge time ? I have the distinct feeling that my estimate is closer.

...which would be just about acceptable if  the battery was modular and one could carry around a spare or two (like the HM-801), but I don't see the DX100 offering a modular battery

Yes Lee, I can envision your "Studio V versus DX100" thread already.
 
For starters, watching videos makes you go blind, the UI on the Studio V is much more simple and fast, the DX100 sounds like a digital chalkboard, has nowhere near the battery life, the soundstage is super thin and unorganic, and it's oversized, you can't hide it in your shoe when passing through Chinese customs (since the battery inside it is illegal in China...).
