So ATH W3000ANV will sound better then D7000 or ATH W5000? So how the soundstage of ATH W3000 ANV compare with HE500?Any help will be much apreciated. My W4 must go so i can get a full size cans.No invoice from iBasso for me yet and i order it on 12 Feb:frowning2:

Do you generally dislike IEMs or just the W4? My custom in-ears are by far the best sounding headphones I have ever heard. Yes, the HE-500 has a bigger soundstage - notice I said bigger, not better. Mids and highs are closer to the HE-60 and SR-009 (there, I said it!) in transparency and clarity than any other headphone I have heard, yet not clinical like the HD800.

I have given up on finding just one set of full size cans for all my listening as I simply can't seem to find one that does everything good enough. HE-500 is the one that gets closest to the mark.

I like you, I meant I like what you have said!

in reference to the HE-500, couldn't said it better myself, but, yes there is a but, its a Hifiman Headphone, so the build quality is not Sen. or Stax, way lower, but SQ price ratio wise and how close to other ortho. in SQ, nothing beats it.

My DX100 can't come soon enough - not because I'm impatient to receive it, per se, but just so that this thread can get back on track!! LOL

This thread will be like a ghost town when we get our DXes, for at least 2 days, tell we come back with our findings so...

I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the W3000ANVs. It is the best closed can I have heard so far (I didn't hear the Sony R-10 before).

I tend to like full-sized can much more than all the custom iems I have tried. The key to enjoy these full-sized cans is the suitability of the amp used.

It is, however, an unknown if the DX100 pairs well with the W3000ANVs.

But you will be kind enough to come back with your trusty impressions, on how the W3000ANV synergies with the DX100, am I right?

I purchased two sets of headphones in anticipation of the DX100. I guess I mis-timed the arrival of the dap.

Oh I miss the impressions, videos and pictures.  I want my DX100 NOW!!!

Keep chatting away to those who are and because of you, I keep coming back daily with great hope it will be in my possession soon.  By the way, I'm not trying to be mean, I just wanted to join in because I'm waiting like the rest of you silently until now.

Painful, isn't it!

Ouch is right, haha. I assume that you purchased a pre-used set? Edition 8s are the best set of closed cans I've heard so far, but I have yet to hear the W3000ANV.

No both new and the ed8 have a 8 wire twag/twcu Hybrid. Should arrive soon.
