The lack of communication on the part of Ibasso is finally starting to irritate me. It would be nice if they could give us a general update to begin with, then as time permits individual emails. I inquired about my DX100 3 days ago and have heard nada, zero. In the small business world sheet happens and with what's happening In China.... although I'm not  exactly sure what going on: postal strike, Ibasso worker strike, whatever...communication is key. Maybe those of us that have a working relationship with Ibasso can reach out.

lol. Fill me in with big reviews

.  Dx100 absolutely caught me in the eye. I like it's big internal memory, screen control,3 inputs and the fact it supports almost all kinds of music files. The only concern is the battery life. If 901 make it to more than 10 hours. I probably will pass DX100. Let's see. 901 specification should be out in a short time.  Battle between chinese companies!

You forgot 'The Other Option', AKA 'The Head-fi Marriage-Wrecker Option', AKA the 'HOW ABOUT BOTH?!' option

Yeah, I have to admit, I do anticipate HifiMan competing on battery life etc., as I remarked in the 802/901 thread:

Btw, Lee, before you jump on an airplane to go to pick up your unit, I just want to say that it's my impression that they have shipped a bunch of units out. So a few of us should be getting the units about the same time.

No soup for me - yet:

Hi,
I have to apology that we cant send shipments on time. There is 7~10 days delay.
You are on the end of our pre-order list.  We will contact you again when yours are ready.

Sincerely
iBasso Audio

I'm perfectly okay with that - I knew I was at the end of the list. Still beats waiting another month just to be able to order a DX100!

Off-topic-whine, sorry: My car needed a few things fixed and a mechanic I know took care of it yesterday - $550. (It's cheaper after hours for uhm... tax-related reasons.
wink.gif
) In doing so, he found two more things that needed fixing but knew where to get the parts for cheap - So I'm only looking at sinking another $650 into my car this weekend. Value of my car if I were to sell it? $5200. Time to cut my losses and start looking for a new(er) one. Yay for living in Denmark where we have a 180% tax on cars on top of our 25% sales tax.

Long whine short: My attention will be steered towards raising $35.000 and deciding on a new car for the next week or two. No problem waiting for the DX100 then. Well, less of a problem at least.

For the curious: $35K will buy you a 4 year old, medium sized diesel estate car here. Told you they were expensive.

I have to say, either this thread is full of kids, which I'm assuming its not since we are waiting on a $700+ dollar DAP or there are some of the most impatient adults I have ever seen in my life... Chill out guys. Its only a few days past the ESTIMATED ship date.

Likewise, except my email was 15 days ago, no reply. I'm a patient guy, but this is a little ridiculous.
