I've searched around a while but still couldn't find my answer.

I'm planning to get an iBasso D10 mainly as a portable sound card for my laptop.

I want to ask does the D10 battery gets charged while connected to the laptop? Or does it only get charged when connected to an adaptor?

I'm scared that it might overcharge the lithium batteries if left too long.

It also gets charged while connected to the laptop BUT this can be disabled by a switch. Take a look at the picture below.

Actually, I forgot to mention that the D10 can ONLY be charged via USB..there's no external adaptor

My D10, that arrived a week ago, came with an AC adapter that connects with the USB cable and charges the D10. So you can charge by having the USB cable plugged into a computer or by attaching the USB cable to the adapter and plugging in.
