As a D16 and PB5 user, what are your plans with it, get rid of them and have the one D17? Just hypothetical really, too early to tell.

It depends on what upgrades it may havr ! I am not too sure...i am TOO happy with PB5/D16 as i can customize anything especially Coax vs USB already show huge differences. The same as Interconnect cables.

Basically it is an improved versions of the ancient decades old Silicon transistors. It is more efficients, less noises and less deformations over energy conductions

D17 is trying to do too many things, I hope it can pull it off.

This D17 will create a perfect storm. D16/PB5 owners will want D17 so the'll sell their stack on the used market, which will bring good deals for people to get into the iBasso family then there will also be people that will have just bought DX340 that will be tempted by D17 so resell their DX340 and again new people in the iBasso family... 2025 will probably endup being the iBasso year!

I'll be amongst it somewhere in there, can't wait.

I doubt it's a replacement for D16 + PB5 - I can't see how it will have comparable amp power. I think it'll be for those who want the D16 only (for IEMs or maybe to feed a larger system) but also want Nutubes in the DAC. So I agree with @Whitigir and won't get rid of D16.

Could be just me smoking copium however after just buying the D16 and then the D17 comes along. Same thing happened with C9 (C9ii) and it stings a little
