iAudioU3/iPodNano+UM1

I've just ordered some UM1s to go with my upcoming new flash MP3 player, but Im having somewhat of an issue. Ive heared some reports of the U3 hissing with IEMs, how bad will this be with the UM1s? Also, exactly how big is the difference in SQ from the iPod Nano to the U3? Ive been on the edge of just buying a nano for a while, but the reports of poor SQ have held me back. Is it really that different? I have a hunch that some sound issues may be a little overemphasized on this site when compared to what someone as new to the whole audiophile scene as me would hear

. I wont be using an amp, and would prefer not to use an attenuator.

P.S. I came to this site looking for some cheapish headphones to go with my 4G iPod and wound up re-ripping my entire music collection, buing a new player and some $109 IEMs. Thanks a lot Head-fi!

I use the U3 exclusively with Ety Er-6i. No hissing here, just sweet sound.
