Just wondering if anyone can comment on this particular unit and how it works with rockbox. Any drawbacks??

2. Can u still charge via usb after rockbox

3. Does the x5 firmware work for the x5l

Yes, it charges from USB. I plug mine in, hold the power switch down for a second and it starts charging.

Yes, the X5 version works with the X5L.
